Pre-Optometry Professional Society

POPS was first introduced to UTD in 2006, and aims to inform prospective optometry students about all aspects of the field of optometry. This includes admission requirements and application processes for entry to make competitive applicants. POPS also aims to be a community leader by giving students opportunities to give back to the community, and develop their social and technical skills. Here at POPS, we also give students a chance to meet new people with the same interests in Optometry. We have a full agenda this year so come see what we have to offer! Contact utdpops@gmail.com.

UTD Blood Initiative

UTD Blood Initiative works to empower, educate and mobilize a network of young donors across the country to build a better future for blood donations. Our chapter aims to establish a fiercely collaborative network with our local blood center, Carter BloodCare, at the cutting edge of society, systems, science and social and public policy with the purpose of achieving a sustainable blood supply for the good of all.
