To grow, strengthen and innovate the existing organizations demonstrates more pre-health competencies than starting a new organization. New groups are added to this list only if their purposes are unique and health care-related.

Alpha Epsilon Delta is the National Health Preprofessional Honor Society, dedicated to excellence in preprofessional health studies. The Society welcomes all pre-health students. Delta Epsilon Mu is the Nation’s Premier Professional Pre-Health All-Inclusive Fraternity. We welcome all majors on any of the pre-health tracks to be a part of our organization. Pre-Physician Assistant Society

The Pre-Physician Assistant Society is for students interested in pursuing a career in the medical field as a physician assistant. It provides opportunities to gain knowledge and experience in the medical field, through community service and by shadowing PAs. The University of Texas at Dallas APSA Chapter has been established for the purpose of educating, supporting and mentoring individuals considering and actively pursuing a future career as a physician-scientist. Global Medical & Dental Brigades

Global Brigades is an international non-profit organization that has mobilized thousands of university students to work in partnership with medical staff to improve the quality of life in under-resourced regions. We offer international shadowing and volunteer experiences for students to help doctors set up medical clinics in underserved communities. UTD Blood Initiative

UTD Blood Initiative works to empower, educate and mobilize a network of young donors across the country to build a better future for blood donations. Our chapter aims to establish a fiercely collaborative network with our local blood center, Carter BloodCare, at the cutting edge of society, systems, science and social and public policy with the purpose of achieving a sustainable blood supply for the good of all. PIH Engage UTD

PIH Engage at UTD is a global health organization that works to build the right to health movement. We are part of a nationwide network that collectively advocates for equitable health policy with our members of Congress and fundraises for Partners In Health which is a sister organization that provides community based care to some of the world’s poorest and sickest communities. This year we are fundraising to cover the operating expenses of the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone! University Emergency Medical Response

University Emergency Medical Response is an initiative focused on providing quality, campus-centered emergency medical care to the UT Dallas campus. It is a first-responder organization with professionally trained students, faculty and staff volunteers, and will be on-scene to treat emergent medical cases.
